Eudunda 150 Art Exhibition

You can find information here about entering art, entry prices, when to drop-off and collect your art at the Eudunda Hall, sales and commissions and more!

The Eudunda 150 Art Exhibition is the focal point of the Eudunda 150 Celebrations. Through the medium of photography, painting, drawing and mosaic, we want to celebrate all things Eudunda, and explore what Eudunda means to residents and those from further afield.

We presently have an extraordinary $1900 of prize money to be allocated to winners across our four categories. Prize money will be split in the following way:

$500 Major Prize (Public Choice)

$200 for Best in each class

$150 for Best Junior in each class

The classes are divided between Open and Junior categories and the medium of the artwork. So, there is an Open Class for Mosaic, Photography, Painting, and Drawing, and a Junior Class for Mosaic, Photography, Painting, and Drawing. This means there are 8 classes in total. The Public Choice Prize will be chosen by the public from entries across all classes.

If you’re looking to enter, don’t forget to fill-in an entry form. You can find a downloadable form below. Please hand these in when you drop off your artwork at the Eudunda Hall on 22 and 23 October 2021.

ENTRY FEES

For our entries, we are charging a fee of $5 per entrant, with up to 5 entries per person covered under that fee. Money raised by entry fees will be directed towards future SALA events in Eudunda and will support our local art groups.

(Entry fees were originally $5 per entry, but this has now been changed)

DROPPING-OFF AND COLLECTING YOUR ART

Artwork can be dropped off at the Eudunda Hall during the day on Friday 22, Saturday 23, and Saturday 30 October 2021, from 9am to 5pm.

Alternatively, you can post it to: Secretary of the Eudunda 150 Sub-Committee, PO Box 85, Eudunda, 5374. (Must be received by 30 October. Return postage will be at your own expense.)

Artwork will be available for pick-up after 3pm on 21 November, on 25 and 26 November from the Eudunda Hall, or via appointment with Samuel Doering (0477 972 630).

SALES AND COMMISSIONS

Entrants are free to offer their artworks for sale at the Eudunda 150 Art Exhibition. If any entrant would like to sell their artwork, please indicate the asking price under the ‘Description’ section of the Entry Form, which you can find below.

If any entrant successfully sells any artwork, we ask for a 10% Commission. Funds raised via commission will not be kept by the Eudunda 150 Sub-Committee, but will be set aside for future SALA events. It is our aim to support art projects in Eudunda into the future.

ENTRY CONSIDERATIONS

If you’re planning on entering, there are a few things to consider:

  • Any artwork that is more than 90cm x 90cm, get into contact with us and we’ll let you know if we can fit it in.
  • Any artwork that is more than 20kg in weight (e.g. mosaic) please let us know, and we’ll see what we can do.
  • There is no limit on the number of entries an individual makes, but each individual entry costs $5, unless a junior. (So, for up to 5 entries, an entrant must pay $5. If there are more than five, then an additional fee must be paid, counting by five.)
